Life's Little Blessings

All smiles My niece Melanie is 4 months old or 16 weeks, whichever way you want to look at it. She is smiling and giggling up a storm. She is also cooing or baby talking. She enjoys her swing and her bouncy seat. She really enjoys watching the Alvin and the chipmucks, she giggles through out the entire movie. She is rolling over and is holding up her head very good. She is sitting up with support. She is now eating cereal and drinking juice. My sister's doctor told her to give Melanie oatmeal first, everything I have read and what the girls doctor told me to start with rice because it was a single grain and not as complex as oatmeal. I have come to learn that every doctor does things differently. She is doing really well on it, so that is all that matters. She is simple just growing up to fast and I wish I can she her more often than once a month. Weight: Birth- 5lbs 14 ozs 2 months- 9lbs 4 months- 12lbs Length: Birth- 17 inches 2 months- 20 inches 4 months- 22 inches

They live in the same rental complex that we do and that is how we all met. They mom is named Alicia and her daughter is Bella. The girls love Bella and vice a versa. Alicia bought the girls all McDonalds and she and I both had french onion beef sandwich's from the great sandwich place. It was so nice and wonderful to get out of the house for several hours and enjoy another mom's company. The girls had so much fun playing with Bella's barbies, zhu zhu pets and all her babies. We are planning on getting together again soon with our other friend Erin and her daughter Alexus before the move to Virgina.

Maggie is already 21 months old.  Where is the time going. I can not believe that my little girl is getting so big. When Eva was 21 months old, Maggie was 1 month old. It is amazing how fast time goes by. I have enjoyed both my little girls and love them so much. I can't image my life without them and their dad. Eva is our little princess and Maggie is our little angel. Maggie is growing like a weed. She is very petite and skinny. She has very short legs, which she has interhertied from her daddy and Grandma Kathy. She has my facial features but has Jim's coloring. She definately looks Irish and English. She is still wearing 18 month clothes and 12-18 months for pants. She is talking up a storm and is a walking champ. She loves watching a lot of the same cartoons as Eva but her favorite is Ni Hao Ki Lan on Nick Jr. She also loves to read, color and sing. Today the girls and I had alot of fun playing. We watched cartoons and Snow White. We colored many, many pictures. Played games but mostly I enjoyed watching the girls play with one another. They get along so well. Maggie isn't a huge fan of the snow this year, hopefully next year she will be. So while Maggie was taking her nap I took Eva out in the snow for about half and hour. We had so much fun out in the snow. We had a snowball fight and she decided to bury herself in the snow. When we came inside from the cold I made Eva some hot chocolate, a special treat. The girls and I had so much today spending time together, life can't get any better.

I can't believe that is the year 2010 already! Where is the time going. It has been such an amazing year in 2009 and I am so looking forward to see what 2010 will bring for me and my family.
