Let's play haircut

Image
So the girls decided last night that they would play barber, instead of taking a rest.  We have played this game with them before but for some reason they got a hold of REAL scissors and you can image what they did.  We didn't notice anything on Eva when she can down to go play outside with our neighbor's daughter, it was until Maggie came down that we noticed it.  Daddy was very upset about it mostly because Eva tried to cover it up and lie about it.  I told the girls that this wasn't okay and that their hair will grow back and then told them that I did it to myself when I was about Eva's age.  This morning I was to get their hair fixed and they look cute.  I am really pleased at what the stylist was able to do with Eva's hair since she has a patch of her bangs that are missing and it is located in the middle of them.  Maggie's hair was able to cleaned up and the stylist said to bring her back in a month to see how much it has grown and that way they can contin

Missing Front Teeth

On the fourth of July Eva lost one of her front teeth that had been wiggly for a while.  So today she lost the other one.  It is kind of funny to listen to her talk because she says her "s" with a slip.  Now we get to sing the song "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth" to her and she gets mad when we do.

Eyes to the Skies Festival

So today I took the girls to the Eyes to Skies Festival since it was the last day of it and they have a special for Lisle residents where it is free from 11am to 4pm.  The girls wanted to get there face painted so that was the first thing we did.  Eva had a unicorn and Maggie had a fancy butterfly.  Then we went to see the The Butterfly lady and learned about some really cool butterflies.  They also got to make a butterfly mobile which they really enjoyed doing.  The last thing we did was to jump on the various moon jumps before it way too hot for them to be outside.  It was a very nice change of pace and a great way to start of the Fourth of July activities.
