37 Week Check-up

So I had my first of three weekly appointments this morning.  Everything is looking good and progressing along.  My weight and measurements are still perfect and I have gained almost 2 lbs in the last week, which my total  weight gain a little over 5 lbs.  My blood pressure was a little high for me but still in the normal range,  which makes me a little concerned but I am trying not to focus on it.  It was also confirmed that I am more than likely been experiencing some Braxton Hick contractions that had started on Monday.  I am also about 1 cm dilated but my cervix hasn't started thinning out, which only means a matter of time.  So it looks like that the little guy could come any day now.  I am relieved that yesterday I did decide to get my hospital bag ready just for this purpose, because you never know.

I found this recipe on Facebook and decided to try it.  It was so good. INGREDIENTS: 1 pouch (17.5 oz.) peanut butter cookie mix 3 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided 1 tablespoon water 1 egg 2 tablespoons HERSHEY'S Cocoa About 36 REESE'S Minis Peanut Butter Cups DIRECTIONS  Heat oven to 375°F.  Stir cookie mix, 2 tablespoons oil, water and egg in medium bowl until soft dough forms. Set aside 1 cup dough. Add cocoa and remaining 1 tablespoon oil to remaining dough, blending well. Roll together a pinch of peanut butter dough and a pinch of chocolate dough to make 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.  Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until cookie surface is set. Remove from oven to wire rack. Cool 2 to 3 minutes; press mini peanut butter cup at an angle into each cookie. Cool completely. About 3 dozen cookies.

1st Day of First Grade

Image
Eva was so excited last night about school starting that she had a hard time falling asleep.  Needless to say i was a bit nervous that it was going to be a pain to get up this morning but I was totally wrong.  When I started waking her up, she began to stretch and asked "Is it morning already?"  When I responded "yes" she flew out of her bed as if her room was on fire.  She was showered and dressed by 7:15 am and we had 15 minutes to spare before we had to leave for school.  I am glad that she was this happy to go back school. Let's play haircut

So the girls decided last night that they would play barber, instead of taking a rest.  We have played this game with them before but for some reason they got a hold of REAL scissors and you can image what they did.  We didn't notice anything on Eva when she can down to go play outside with our neighbor's daughter, it was until Maggie came down that we noticed it.  Daddy was very upset about it mostly because Eva tried to cover it up and lie about it.  I told the girls that this wasn't okay and that their hair will grow back and then told them that I did it to myself when I was about Eva's age.  This morning I was to get their hair fixed and they look cute.  I am really pleased at what the stylist was able to do with Eva's hair since she has a patch of her bangs that are missing and it is located in the middle of them.  Maggie's hair was able to cleaned up and the stylist said to bring her back in a month to see how much it has grown and that way they ...

Missing Front Teeth

On the fourth of July Eva lost one of her front teeth that had been wiggly for a while.  So today she lost the other one.  It is kind of funny to listen to her talk because she says her "s" with a slip.  Now we get to sing the song "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth" to her and she gets mad when we do.
