So today our precious little boy was baptized in our Catholic faith. It was very hard for me to do this because Jim was in the hospital with stomach pain and we really didn't want to postpone it for another month or so. James did really well is was flirting with all the ladies and didn't even cry when he was baptized. We are truly blessed to have picked such wonderful God parents for him and they will also be wonderful roll models for Eva and Maggie. So, today when I awoke I had noticed that I was experiencing some braxton hick contractions but they were coming more often and with each one it got stronger. We decided to call the doctor to see what I needed to do. The nurse suggested that I lay down and drink plenty of water because I might have been over doing it. So I did for about 3 hrs and it was not working and then contacting Jim to tell him that they were coming very 5 to 10 minutes. He came home from watching the Dark Knight Rises and took me to the hospital. I was for sure in labor but was only dilated 1 cm still. So they had me wait for a bit. Then the nurse checked me again and no progress, so they told me to get up and walk to see if that will increase my contractions and help me dilate more. Jim and I walked around the labor and delivery floors plus the mother and baby floors for an entire hour. While we were walking, I was able to notice that the contracti...

So I had my first of three weekly appointments this morning. Everything is looking good and progressing along. My weight and measurements are still perfect and I have gained almost 2 lbs in the last week, which my total weight gain a little over 5 lbs. My blood pressure was a little high for me but still in the normal range, which makes me a little concerned but I am trying not to focus on it. It was also confirmed that I am more than likely been experiencing some Braxton Hick contractions that had started on Monday. I am also about 1 cm dilated but my cervix hasn't started thinning out, which only means a matter of time. So it looks like that the little guy could come any day now. I am relieved that yesterday I did decide to get my hospital bag ready just for this purpose, because you never know.

Eva was so excited last night about school starting that she had a hard time falling asleep. Needless to say i was a bit nervous that it was going to be a pain to get up this morning but I was totally wrong. When I started waking her up, she began to stretch and asked "Is it morning already?" When I responded "yes" she flew out of her bed as if her room was on fire. She was showered and dressed by 7:15 am and we had 15 minutes to spare before we had to leave for school. I am glad that she was this happy to go back school.
