Life's Little Blessings

It was really hot outside today but the girls really enjoyed being outside.  Maggie was only out for a little because she is so fair and I am so afraid that she will burn.  Eva and some of the other children in the complex started having a water gun fight.  It was so funny to watch her try to keep up with the other kids. 

Melanie is growing bigger and bigger and I wish she would slow down a bit. From my experience that won't happen.  She is talking more and eating more baby food and less bottles.  She is rolling all over the place and is pulling herself onto the edge of the couch or table.  Looks like she wants to walk instead of crawl.  I think she will start crawling very soon but won't be crawling for long and then she will starting walking.

So Jim and I have decided that we were going to try to do a family day every week on one of the weekend days.  For awhile it was on Sundays but now it got switched to Saturdays, which I prefer better.  So today we really do much but really enjoyed the fresh air.  When the girls were sleepying, Jim and I watched the movie Grand Triano.  It was a very good movie.  Then after dinner we took the girls to the park before it got dark.  So it was a great fun and relaxing family day. When we were leaving the park, my friend Alicia was having some friends over and their were going to roast marshmallows and she invited me and the girls.  It was so cute and funny to watch the girls try to roast marshmallows for the first time.

Since Maggie's 2yr well visit, I have started introducing her to several differnet and new things. 1. We have been intrducing her foods that have real dairy products in it.  So far we have tried pizza and she loves it and is always asking for more.  We are going to try baby yogurt with her next.  I am hoping that she will be be able tolerate the yogurt because it will be good for her stomach to have the probiotics in her system. 2. Another thing that my youngest daughter has started doing is drinking out of a big girl cup with no top on it.  She does pretty good with it but does like to dump out the containts and play in it with her hands. 3. We have been starting to potty train her as well.  She has gone once already but hasn't since.  This weekend I am going to set a routine with her about using the potty, after every time we change her diaper we will sit on the potty, before and after bathtime, and before we go to bend and when we wake up either fr...

Today the girls and I went and had a picnic and watched the geese and ducks at the pond that is near our townhome.  The girls really enjoyed watching them and they also got to feed them some bread.  I am going to have so much this summer taking the girls out and having picnics with them. Then we went to the park to burn some energy.  The girls love going to the park and playing with the others that are usually there.  I am so truely blessed at how welcoming my girls are, I just hope they will stay that way for their enitre life.

Balleria Eva Going to the Beach Bella was swimming in the water Since today has pretty yucky out with the rain, the girls and I enjoyed doing some fun rainy day activites.  We played games, colored and watched some new movies.  The highlight of the day was when Eva started playing dress-up with her friend Bella.

The Magician Eva receiving her DIPLOMA Today was Eva's preschool end of the year picnic, and Eva and I went for a little bit.  We missed the picnic part but made it time to see this really cool and talented magician.  All the parents met with the children's teachers at the end of the show, the children in Eva's 3s preschool classes received gifts from the teachers and also a diploma on finishing their first year of preschool.  They also put together a CD of all the pictures they took throughout the year of the children and made copies for all the parents, which I thought was very thoughtful and generous of them.  I can't believe that she will be in a 4 yr old preschool class this fall and then next year she will in Kindergarten and then Maggie will be in a 3 yr old preschool class.  Where is the time going? Today we celebrated Eva 4th birthday with her preschool class.  I thought it was very sweet and thoughtful of the school to think about all the children who have summer birthday's and can't celebrated it durning the school year.  Eva wanted to have cupcakes for party.  So I made some funfetti ones and sprinkled some hot pink sprinkles on top.  She was excited and happy to be able to share her birthday with her friends at school.  Eva keep telling me it was her best birthday EVER!!!

Maggie and I Nana with the youngest and oldest grandchild Lorene, Melanie, Eva and I Lorene, Melaine and Miles.....My sis FIRST Mother's Day My mother's day gifts from Eva Today I celebrated Mother's Day with my family, my mom n dad, my uncle jim, and my baby sister Lorene n Miles n Melanie.  I had such a wonderful time with my family and being able to be apart of my sister Lorene's FIRST Mother's day.  I was a little sadden by the fact that my other sister Mary couldn't make it but I guess her boyfriend comes before her family.  I recieved a daughter blanket from my mom and dad, from Jim and Maggie I am getting one of her specialized 2 yr old pictures and from Kathy another of Maggie's specialize 2 yr old pictures.
