This weekend in Ohio

Image
August 21, 2009 Jim, Ray, 2 of Ray's friends and I drove to Ohio for Jim's brother Bob's bacholer party and his fiance Karen's Bacholerette Party and Bridal Party. Everything was on the same day and it was going to be on Saturaday. The drive was sooooooo long and seemed like was going to take forever to get there. We left later than we wanted too and to top it off somewhere in Indiana, there was a huge accident involving 2 semi-trucks. One of the semi-truck's cab was no longer and we didn't think the driver made it. I never saw a semi-truck look like that. We finally made it into Ohio about 10pm or close to it. We visited with my brother-in-law, Bob, and his fiancee Karen and some Karen's family for a little bit then headed to the hotel for the night. August 22, 2009 Karen, the Bride-to-be The Bridal Shower was a lot of fun. It was at Dave and Busters, and Karen didn't even know where it was going to held at. She also knew notheing about her bacholerette

A update on my little sister

Image
This the most recent picture of my sister Lorene and she is 33 weeks and 3 days along in her pregnacy. She has been experiencing a lot of discomfort and pain for the last several weeks. The pain is caused by her hips and her pelvis continuesouly moving on her. Her hips are going sideways, like one side is forward and the other side backward. So every doctor she has they are corecting her hips but everything with baby is progressing along very well. Her doctor is considering on giving her a c-section but they are going to decide that at the last minute because they are hoping her hip situation will correct itself. I am looking forward to her baby shower that is on the 30th of August. I got her a stroller with a matching car seat, some bath products, clothes, breatfeeding stuff, toys and a big toy from the girls like an extrasaucer or a play gym. My mother-in-law is going to buy her a crib.

A playdate

Today Eva and Maggie had a playdate with one of their friends. A friend of mine has a daughter who is going into 3rd grade this fall, came over to play with the girls while her mom was at work. The little girl who's name is Bella, was in summer camp and it ended 2 weeks prior to school starting and so i have helped her mom out a couple of times with watching her. She is such a help because the girls absoluately adore her. The started with Bella and Eva watching 101 Dalmations and a couple episodes of Dora the Explorer and Go Deigo Go. Then they decided to built a fort/club house. I wish I was able to take pictures because it was the cutest thing. Maggie even enjoyed herself going in and out of the clubhouse. As a special treat for the girls, I made a picnic lunch for them and we went to the park. The girls played there for a few hours and they even had a couple of other friends from the subdivision come up too the park. Maggie has discovered how much she likes crawling ar

Finding a Preschool

I never thought finding a preschool would be just a difficult and stressful experience. For the past several weeks I have calling several schools that offering preschool starting at the age of 3 and doing a lot of research on them as well. I have been looking both public, private and even daycare. I have been very disappointed and extremelu frustrated with my results. Most of the schools were full for the three program or didn't offer assistance on the tution costs. With the way the economy is today you would think they would to try to more accomodating but no. Then some of them just didn't met my requiremnets that I am looking for in a preschool program. As a typical mom, I want the best for my daughter but also as a persom who used to work in a preschool setting for many years I guess I just expect a higher standard. Finally, sometime last week I called the Lisle Park District and they have a 3 year preschool program and they offer 3 days a week(Mon, Wednes, Fri) for 1

Getting Old

I am officially getting old. My 28th birthday is on the 12th of August. I have gray hair all up in the front of my hair and almost every joint in my body aches and cracks when I move or walk. Getting old stinks and isn't for the weak. But the best part of my birthday coming up is that I get to share it with my sisters, and I am looking forward to that. Finding my family last November has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. I feel like a complete person, something that I was longing for so many years. Jim loves them and they love him. Jim loves the fact that my mom is an Indians fan just like him. I am truely lucky and blessed. I LOVE MY LIFE!!!!!!!

Maggie turned 15 months

Maggie turned 15 months on the 13th of July. She had her 15 mo well check-up and things were looking good. She still only weighs 18.8 pounds and she is now 30.5 inches, and her head was 46cm. The doctor wants to continue with her on soy milk and maybe will introdue milk products at around 18 mos or 2 years old. She had some goldfish the other day and she was able to hold it all down, so this very promising. She is talking a lot more and has learned to say "Hello" and "twinkle." She is starting to stand on the couch, chair or the floor and then letting go of whatever she has her hand on, so she standing on her own for a few seconds. Walking will be right around the corner. I took some pictures of her and will be posting them soon.

Eva is "3" now.

Eva turned 3 today. It seens like yestreday I was in the middle of my 36 hour lador and then making the decision to have an c-section. Then holding my newborn baby girl and looking in her eyes and having her look up at me saying " Hi, Mommy" with her big blue eyes. I was thinking is she really mine. Now she is talking, walking/running fully pottu trained little girl, but she is still my baby. Eva is so intelligent and thrist for knowledge on a regular basis. She loves watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Little Einstiens on the Disney Channel and loves the channel Noggin, which has educational shows 24/7. She loves swimming and playing outside in the rain or sunshine. She loves playing the paino, and her drumset also enjoys dancing and singing to us and Maggie. Coloring with markers, crayons or chalk and reading are her favorite rainy day activites. We are hoping that this fall we will be able to get into preschool. I will be getting her 3 year old pictures done on the 13th
